The reaction from the Giants’ faithful has been borderline hysterical following last week’s 40-17 loss to Philadelphia. However if the fans are looking for the players to share in their misery, they are in for a shock.

“Normally when you play like (garbage) you feel like (garbage), so I guess we’re trying to reverse the tide by coming in, smiling, looking at the positives, and just having a great attitude about coming back in here to work,” said Giants defensive end Justin Tuck.

Aaron Rouse replacing C.C. Brown as Giants safety (AP)

Riding a three-game losing streak, the New York Giants decided Friday to insert Aaron Rouse into the starting lineup at safety for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers. Rouse will replace beleaguered veteran C.C. Brown, who has been beaten twice on deep passes for touchdowns during the losing streak.

The job of turning around the New York Giants belongs to Eli Manning, Antonio Pierce and the other leaders on the defending NFC East champions. Coach Tom Coughlin went out of his way Wednesday to tell the team its leaders have to take control and end the Giants' current three-game losing streak. "Leaders are lifters," Coughlin said twice during his news conference Wednesday.
