Ginn tries to shake reputation (AP)

Twice Ted Ginn Jr. left the New York Jets stumbling and lunging, grasping at and gasping for air. With moves like that, maybe he can shake his reputation yet. Ginn scored on consecutive kickoff returns of 100 and 101 yards, an unprecedented feat that took a total of 31 seconds. He's that fast. His many detractors might call him the fastest draft bust in Miami Dolphins history.

Dolphins Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

What will the Dolphins get when they elect to start three rookie defensive backs against the NFL’s second-best passing attack featuring confident superstar quarterback Tom Brady, who seems completely over his knee injury – both mentally and physically – that cost him most of the 2008 season?

Trouble?

Certainly, Brady will test the Dolphins’ rookie trio of Vontae Davis, Sean Smith and Chris Clemons, who recently took the starting job away from expensive offseason free agent Gibril Wilson.

Last week, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez found his rhythm in the second half, at one point completing nine passes in a row, including two touchdown passes, in a 30-25 loss to Miami.

Brady, meanwhile, is on fire.

Despite win, Dolphins offense needs jump start (AP)

With one kickoff return, Ted Ginn Jr. nearly matched the Miami Dolphins' offensive yardage total for the entire day. Good for Ginn. Bad for the offense. In a 30-25 victory Sunday over the New York Jets, the Dolphins netted only 104 yards rushing and passing, the third-lowest total in franchise history and the worst since 1999.

Ginn’s 2 kickoff returns lead Dolphins past Jets (AP)

Miami Dolphins' Ted Ginn Jr.(notes) (19) is pursued by the New York Jets while running a kick-return for a touchdown during the third quarter of an NFL football game at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. The Dolphins won the game 30-25.

Ted Ginn Jr. was angry, his ego bruised by an embarrassing benching. The Miami wide receiver took out his frustration on the New York Jets, returning two long kickoffs for touchdowns in the third quarter, and the Dolphins' defense held on for a 30-25 victory Sunday. "Not being in that starting lineup hurt me deep down inside," Ginn said.

Jets’ Rhodes, Dolphins players in pregame skirmish (AP)

New York Jets safety Kerry Rhodes and a few Miami Dolphins players got into a shoving match on the field about a half-hour before the teams' game. With both teams warming up on the field Sunday, Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter appeared to say something that Rhodes took exception to. Rhodes, near the Jets' sideline on the Dolphins' end of the field, went over to Porter and shoved him.
