Cops: Falcons Ojinnaka charged with simple battery (AP)

Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman Quinn Ojinnaka is free on bond after being accused of fighting with his wife over his Facebook activity, police said Friday. Ojinnaka, a fourth-year reserve drafted out of Syracuse in the fifth round of 2006, was charged with simple battery, said police spokesman David Schiralli in suburban Gwinnett County.

LB Tinoisamoa joins Bears (AP)

Free agent linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa agreed Friday to a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears after leading the St. Louis Rams in tackles four of the past six seasons. The Bears also locked up defensive tackle Israel Idonije with a two-year extension through 2011 and agreed to contracts with seven of their nine draft picks.

Bears, Idonije agree on 2-year extension (AP)

Defensive tackle Israel Idonije has agreed to a two-year contract extension that keeps him with the Chicago Bears through 2011. Idonije started three games and appeared in all 16 last season, posting career highs with 28 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks. A former undrafted free agent, Idonije has appeared in 71 games over the past five seasons, registering 99 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks.
